HUNAR SE ROZGAR TAK PROGRAMME
The Government of India, Ministry  of Tourism has launched a Training Programme, christened  "Hunar Se Rozgar Tak" to create employable skill in the interested youth who are in the age group of 18 years and above and who bear the minimum qualification for the respective trade. The Programme is conducted by the Institutes of Hotel Management sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism. The programme offers short but quality training courses covering:
- Food & Beverage Service Steward
- Multi Cuisine Cook
- Room Attendant
- Front Office Associate
- Traditional Snack & Savory Maker
- Skill Testing and Certification Programme

No application or course fee is charged to the
applicant. A trainee who acquired with an attendance of 80% will be paid
stipend of Rs. 1,500/- in respect of Food & Beverage Service Steward and
Room Attendant and Rs. 2,000/- in respect of the Multi Cuisine Cook and Traditional Snack
& Bakery courses. The
students have to appear in an end of the course test and pass it successfully
so as to be able to award them with a Certificate recognized by the Ministry of
Tourism.

GUIDELINES
Hunar Se Rozgar
acquired subject to the following specific guidelines:
 - Target Group
 The candidate should be at the age of 18 to 50 years.
- Intake and selection
 A class will have a minimum of 25 trainees and a maximum of 30. However,
     the programme will have an inclusive nature. In case the number of
     eligible candidates exceeds the requirement of a batch and there is a
     requirement of additional batches, the Institute will concurrently or in
     phases run more batches depending on its institutional capacity. In case
     of phasing the scheduling of candidates between batches will be on
     first-cum-first admitted basis.
- Minimum Target
 Each implementing Institute will conduct the Programme at least two times
     in a year and each programme will consist of two courses – one on Food
     Beverage service and the other on Food Production.
- Publicity
 The implementing Institutes will publicize the programme by inserting
     advertisement in the newspaper and also putting it on its respective
     websites. The Institutes will also publicize the programme to the trade
     associations, State tourism corporations and vyapaarmandals through
     interaction/workshop etc. Talks on TV/Radio channels may also be arranged.
- Faculty
 The Institute will use regular faculty for the Programme to the extent
     possible. The additional requirement will be met by engaging guest faculty
     as per prevalent guidelines.
- Application Fees
 There will be no application or course fees chargeable to the applicant
     eventual trainee.
- Stipend
 A trainee who acquired with an attendance of 80% will be paid stipend of
     Rs. 1,500/- in respect of Food & Beverage Service Steward, Room
     Attendant and Front Office Associate course and Rs.2,000/- in respect of
     the Multi Cuisine Cook and Traditional Snack & Bakery.
- Certification
 The trainees with minimum attendance of 90% will be required to appear in
     and end of the course test and those test and those pass it successfully
     will be awarded joint certificate of the NCHMCT/Institute concerned. For
     the purpose of this test, there will be internal and one external
     examiner- the latter will be drawn from a panel that the NCHMCT will firm
     up. The Principal will have the discretion for the reasons to be recorded
     to relax the attendance norm by 10% for the purpose of stipend and
     appearance in test.
- Funding of the Programme
 The Program will be funded under the MoT’s Scheme of Capacity Building for
     Service Providers under SuoMotu Initiatives.
- Employment facilitation
 The MoT and the implementing Institute will be make conscious effort to
     facilitate employment of the pass-outfrom this Programme. Possibilities
     will also be explored for their employment at Mega Tourist Destinations.
     Efforts will also be made to organize campus recruitments by the stake
     holders in the Trade.
 
The Ministry of Tourism has launched a Skill Testing
& Certification Training Programme and it is conducted by the Institute of
Hotel Management, Ranchi which is conducted for 6 days.
Destination
Based Skill Development Programme under CBSP Scheme
Institute of Hotel Management, Ranchi has conducted Destination Based Skill
Development Programme under CBSP Scheme at different tourist destinations in
the state of Jharkhand. The Program is for self- employed youths who are
currently working as Home Cooks, Bakers, Receptionist, Housekeeping, Waiters etc.
Necessary strategies are being taken to secure the required facilities,
equipment and infrastructure for the smooth conduct of the training program.
