HUNAR SE ROZGAR TAK PROGRAMME
The Ministry of Tourism has launched a Skill
Development Programme with an emphasis on the employability of the skills
acquired. Hunar Se Rozgar Programme was started in the year 2009 and it is
conducted by the Institute of Hotel Management, Ranchi from the year of
establishment (2019). IHM Ranchi has opened its doors for Hunar Se Rozgar a
Skill Development Training Programme launched by Ministry of Tourism,
Government of India, with an objective to create employable skills in the
interested youth. The training programme is open to all persons above the age
of 18 years possessing the minimum educational qualification prescribed. Five
different short term courses are offered under this scheme, candidates
interested in any of these trades may opt for the enrollment subject to meeting
the eligibility criteria. Each course will also have a built in emphasis on
improving the trainees’ approach, behavior and attitude in order to enhance
their market suitability.

No application or course fee is charged to the
applicant. A trainee who acquired with an attendance of 80% will be paid
stipend of Rs. 1,500/- in respect of Food & Beverage Service Steward and
Room Attendant and Rs. 2,000/- in respect of the Multi Cuisine Cook and Traditional Snack
& Bakery courses. The
students have to appear in an end of the course test and pass it successfully
so as to be able to award them with a Certificate recognized by the Ministry of
Tourism.

Hunar Se Rozgar
acquired subject to the following specific guidelines:
The Ministry of Tourism has launched a Skill Testing
& Certification Training Programme and it is conducted by the Institute of
Hotel Management, Ranchi which is conducted for 6 days.
Institute of Hotel Management, Ranchi has conducted Destination Based Skill
Development Programme under CBSP Scheme at different tourist destinations in
the state of Jharkhand. The Program is for self- employed youths who are
currently working as Home Cooks, Bakers, Receptionist, Housekeeping, Waiters etc.
Necessary strategies are being taken to secure the required facilities,
equipment and infrastructure for the smooth conduct of the training program.
