Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition (IHM Ranchi), also known as SIHM Ranchi, is an autonomous institution under the Department of Tourism, Art Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Jharkhand, established in 2019. The institute has been set up with the joint assistance of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and the Department of Tourism, Government of Jharkhand with a view to providing quality education and developing skilled manpower for the hospitality industry.
The institute has been established to provide opportunities to talented and enthusiastic students from Jharkhand and other parts of the country to develop their hospitality skill sets and become future hospitality leaders. IHM Ranchi is the first and only Hotel Management Institute in Jharkhand affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT), Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
The institute currently offers industry-oriented programmes in core hospitality operations, including:
3-Year B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration
1.5-Year PG Diploma in Accommodation Operations & Management
1.5-Year Diploma in Food & Beverage Service
1.5-Year Craftsmanship Certificate Course in Food Production & Patisserie
6-Month Certificate Course in Professional Bartending
